Job Description
The Modeling and Simulation Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides executive-level insight to NAVWAR engineering support. This role involves the research and development of multi-function small form factor payloads for completing NAVWAR-based missions. You will develop and analyze models of novel algorithmic concepts to produce distributed electronic sensing effects for NAVWAR payloads and utilize EW signal processing algorithms to enable threat detection identification for employing countermeasures. Additionally, you will reverse engineer existing NAVWAR signal processing solutions, develop systems to support GPS system hardening, and integrate EW, Comms, and Radar missions into small form factor payloads.
ResponsibilitiesProvide executive-level insight to NAVWAR engineering support.Research and develop multi-function small form factor payloads for NAVWAR-based missions.Develop and analyze models of novel algorithmic concepts for distributed electronic sensing effects.Utilize EW signal processing algorithms for threat detection and countermeasures.Reverse engineer existing NAVWAR signal processing solutions.Develop systems to support GPS system hardening.Develop RF hardware and software solutions for integrating EW, Comms, and Radar missions.Investigate heterogeneous sensing concepts across different platforms.Design and implement testing of RF and other hardware portions of software-defined radio frameworks.Synthesize and allocate system requirements to ensure compliance with mission needs.Support development and implementation of client requirements for RF solutions.Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testing on systems impacted by denial/deception of PNT/GPS.Support technical reviews of vendor hardware and software products and deliverables.Research state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms.Work with customers to integrate solutions into a variety of applications and use cases.Debug, test, and validate capabilities using unit tests and scenarios reported by JNWC or JNWC Customers.Essential SkillsSimulationModelingSoftware testingSimulation and modeling softwareRFCurrent DoD issued Security ClearanceBA/BS in engineering or related technical field3-10 years of relevant experiencePrior leadership or management experience in higher-level rolesAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with EW signal processing algorithmsKnowledge of GPS system hardeningUnderstanding of RF hardware and software solutionsWork Environment
This position is located at Kirtland AFB. The role offers the stability of a company with a good reputation, full PTO, and benefits. You will be supporting a well-known contract in NM. The work schedule starts between 6-8 AM, and you will work for 8 hours.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00
