Become part of Barclays Quantitative Analytics team as the Models and Infrastructure VP leading a new liquidity quant team focusing on building and developing a cohesive unit of liquidity quants, aligned with the global team’s culture. This includes adopting and embedding the processes and controls of the wider team. Under the direction and collaboration of the global liquidity quant team, you will drive the responsibilities and commitments of the Noida team. Initially, the key responsibilities will include running and reporting on the controls framework for the global liquidity quants and the model monitoring framework for the liquidity models, ensuring both are operating effectively and satisfactorily. Additionally, you will ensure the smooth running of current processes and evolving them to generate efficiencies, such as automating controls and simplifying procedures. As the team becomes more established, you will also take on the responsibility of running and reporting on the annual review process for the liquidity models, including refreshing materials and engaging with stakeholders.To be successful as a Models and Infrastructure VP, you should have experience with:Proven experience in building and developing high-performing quant or validation teams.Strong ability to establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders.Strong awareness of model governance, ideally demonstrated through a working understanding of regulations such as SS1/23 or SR11-7.Some other highly valued skills may includeAwareness of liquidity modelling, particularly internal stress testing models used in ILAAP (preferred).Strong understanding of model development statistical tools such as SQL, Python, and R (more managerial than developmental role).Strong awareness of statistical techniques such as data analysis, regression, and time series (more managerial than developmental role).You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skillsThe Location of the role is Noida, IN.Barclays is required by law to confirm that you have the Legal Right to Work in any role that you apply for. To design, develop, implement, and support mathematical, statistical, and machine learning models and analytics used in business decision-making
Accountabilities
Design analytics and modelling solutions to complex business problems using domain expertise.Collaboration with technology to specify any dependencies required for analytical solutions, such as data, development environments and tools.Development of high performing, comprehensively documented analytics and modelling solutions, demonstrating their efficacy to business users and independent validation teams.Implementation of analytics and models in accurate, stable, well-tested software and work with technology to operationalise them.Provision of ongoing support for the continued effectiveness of analytics and modelling solutions to users.Demonstrate conformance to all Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Policies, particularly Model Risk Policy.Ensure all development activities are undertaken within the defined control environment.Vice President Expectations
