The Bancorp’s Internship program is designed to provide students with a meaningful and challenging hands-on learning experience as well as an inside look into a career in the financial services industry. Interns are immersed into our culture and will work on actual projects within their business line or control function that will expand their knowledge and complement their education with real-world job experience.
Responsibilities Essential FunctionsInventory, image, deploy, reclaim, and/or decommission Windows and Mac platform computers.Works directly with third-party vendors on the delivery of applicable services.Learns operations of conference room and other public A/V equipment services.Understands and partners in implementing cybersecurity and internal and/or FDIC-mandated controls.Catalogues technical assets (phones, desktops, laptops, printers) deployed to the Wilmington location.Partners with project managers to develop a deployment plan for new technical assets.Supports Network, Applications, and/or Telecommunications team on select initiatives.Works in user lab to demonstrate new technologies to end-users.Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/ExperiencePrefers technology and/or project management-based experience which may include classwork, employment, or special projects.Prefers customer service experience; will accept strong communication skills with customer orientation.Working knowledge / understanding of any of the following are a plus:Windows 10 and 11iOS and/or Android mobilityNetworking, physical or logicalPreferred RequirementsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively and clearly communicate and present ideas to senior leadership.Strong customer orientation.A team player, able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Program EligibilityEligible to work for any employer in the United States for the full duration of the internship. The Bancorp will not assist in applying for visas or altering the visa status of applications.Enrolled full-time in an undergraduate college degree program as a rising junior, a current junior or senior, enrolled in a master’s program or recently graduated within the past six months.Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, this will be confirmed by the recruiter.Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree directly related to the department for which the internship program is listed.Must be available for full-time internship.May not be related to any employee of The Bancorp.
