OT325: NSP - BLOOMFIELD, CT 212 WEST NEWBERRY RD, BLOOMFIELD, CT, 06002 USAThe Modernization Mechanical Engineer will be a versatile position with responsibilities for processing bid reviews and project management responsibilities for modernization escalator projects in NAA. Other responsibilities involve specifying, ordering, and troubleshooting hydraulic elevator projects in NAA. This individual will work under the guidance of senior engineers in the modernization mechanical engineering group located at the Otis Service Center.
Job Description:
Provide escalator feasibility reviews for modernization estimates.Responsible for interpreting bid specs and responding to field questions in an effective & timely mannerKnowledge of code requirements to perform escalator design and drafting for project execution.Facilitate ordering and shipping of executed project materials.Responsibility to identify & resolve technical issues in the design and implementation of escalator and hydraulic elevator projects.Work closely with senior engineers to ensure that the business objectives are implemented and achieved.Reviewing and placing orders for hydraulic elevator power unit replacements.Experience/Qualifications
3+ years of engineering and project management experience.Demonstrated analytical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.Self-directed with excellent practices, processes and procedures.Demonstrated flexibility / adaptability in high stress, ambiguous environmentsDemonstrated ability to plan and prioritize to meet customer lead-times.Engineering experience with escalator modernization/repair/installation.Ability to work with suppliers/3rd parties.CAD tools (AutoCAD required & CREO preferred)Working knowledge of Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)Education
