Modification Retrofit Engineer - Level 2

This position is for an F\-22 Modification Retrofit Engineer supporting the MUO 5th Generation Planning and Integration team\. Candidate will develop 5th generation aircraft modification workbook Instructions based on aircraft installation, modification, engineering drawings, process specifications, and Time Compliance Technical Orders \(TCTO\)\. Published work instructions are detailed, logically sequenced step\-by\-step planning guidance utilized by contract field teams and military service depot facilities\. Modification Retrofit Engineers \(MRE\) develop initial retrofit plans that identify the intended mod work scope, the reason for the change, description of the modification, effectivity, engineering approach, and initial retrofit schedule\. MREs also support the coordination and execution of scheduled aircraft modifications prototype/verification/validation events\. The targeted candidate should have experience with aircraft maintenance, installation, and / or modification tasks\. The candidate will be required to travel in support of mod prototype and verification events\. Deployed assignment durations can be in excess of 90 days at any location on contract to modify F\-22 aircraft\.

**Basic Qualifications:**
Formal production or military maintenance training\.
Comprehension of engineering and maintenance logistics principles\.
Ability to develop maintenance planning documents\.
Experience working under general supervision\.
**Desired Skills:**
Prior F\-22 or other military aircraft experience\.
Ability to apply technical standards and principles to author aircraft maintenance instructions\.
Experience authoring aircraft technical publications or checklists\.
Effective analytical and communication skills\.
Exposure to 3D modeling, and Tableau Dashboard applications\.
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Part\-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
