The Mueller Co Cleveland TN location is growing and has an opening for a Mold Changeover Technician to join the location to support all change over functions for the Plant.

SUMMARY

The driving force behind our growth at Mueller is our people. The Mold Changeover Technician has the primary responsibility of direct support for specified processes including performing changeovers and troubleshooting.  Processes include specialized equipment that require strong, logical problem-solving skills, frequent use of mechanical abilities, as well as a strong working knowledge of machining fundamentals.  In this role, the technician is the primary leader and sole point of contact on their prospective shift for these processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES

Perform machine changeovers and setups in a time efficient, safe manner.Constantly strive to improve processes and eliminate downtime.Ensure all documentation is developed and up to date, including tool drawings, setup instructions, and other relevant documents.Work closely with Operations, Planning, and Leadership to ensure production KPI’s are met.Be able to provide recommendations and insights on process improvements, tooling, and cost reduction as related to the assigned processes.Train, mentor, coach operators and other support personnel on assigned processes.Perform job duties on designated shift with flexibility to rotate shift if needed.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

CNC programming and application experience preferred.Experience with manual lathes, mills, and other equipment preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Associate degree in engineering related field highly preferredRelevant and equivalent work experience will be considered2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment involving high speed machining and automationProven experience using precision measuring equipment to troubleshoot machine problemsWorking knowledge of CNC programming and machining technologyKnowledge dealing with complex manufacturing situations, hardware specifications, quality standards, product development, CAD / CAM, and technical specifications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to fifty (50) pounds occasionallyMust be able to sit and stand in a stationary position for prolonged periods of timeMust be able to walk around in an industrial plant safety sensitive environment on an ongoing daily basisMust have good manual dexterity (use of hands and fingers) to use a computer, copier, fax, phone, and multiple pieces of industrial equipment.Occasionally ascend or descend stairsThe person in this position must be able to communicate with leadership and other departments daily, so the ability to speak & communicate clearly and accurately is essentialPosition requires the ability to hear and see as this person will be on the plant floor in safety sensitive areas dailyMust be able to work in both a plant (loud noises, cold/hot environment, machinery running) and office environmentMust be able to function in a high-pressure production type environment

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
