As a Mold Maker you will utilizes various equipment and machinery, to effectively maintain and repair complex injection molds in support of our Production departments. Apply knowledge of basic injection molding techniques and materials to troubleshoot issues with molds and finished product.Work in tandem with quality assurance to ensure manufactured parts are produced according to customer print requirements.Communicate daily with supervisor and coworkers regarding tool conditions, suggestions for improvement and spare parts inventory.Devise and implement corrective actions for tooling issues that are affecting part quality and/or tool efficiency.Communicate with prior and oncoming shifts to give work assignments and expectations to achieve production plan.Take action to reduce tool build, repair, and scrap costs.Provide training to operators as needed.Participate in preventative tool maintenance including, but not limited to, grinding spare parts for tools.

Education /Skills /Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and safety.10 to 15 years of Injection Molding experience, preferably in the Automotive and Medical Industry.Experience in reel-to-reel molding, insert molding and decoupled molding a definite asset.Possess the requisite skills to maintain and repair complex injection molds.Possess the knowledge and comprehension of basic injection molding, including fundamental machine design and function.Possess the basic knowledge and comprehension of plastic resins and the processing of each in a particular application.

Associate Requirements HS Diploma or GED Background Check Able to Lift 50 pounds Drug Test Must be at least 18 years old The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $38.00 - $40.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
