Job Title: Mold Maker
Job Description

Operate machines such as manual mills, and surface grinders, for the full mold-making process. Build out new molds and perform mold repairs. Work with a cross-functional team of Tooling Engineers, CNC machinists, and EDM machinists. Assemble a mold of any complexity with minimal supervision to meet the customer’s approval. Disassemble and troubleshoot problems with a mold, collectively figuring out a plan of action to correct the problem within a reasonable cost and time span.

ResponsibilitiesOperate machines like manual mills and surface grinders for the full mold-making process.Build and repair new molds.Collaborate with Tooling Engineers, CNC machinists, and EDM machinists.Assemble complex molds with minimal supervision to meet customer approval.Disassemble and troubleshoot mold issues, developing cost-effective and timely solutions.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in mold making.Proficiency with surface grinding, CNC milling, and wire EDM machines.Technical shop math experience.Knowledge of tool processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred trade school degree in tooling.Experience in plastic and silicone mold making.Skills in tool polishing and maintenance.Experience with Mastercam software.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a clean, climate-controlled toolroom separated from the manufacturing area. Join a small team of approximately 15 people, including machinists, engineers, and managers. The work environment promotes collaboration and precision in a comfortable setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54808.00 - $70720.00
