**Job Title: Mold Maker** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled Mold Maker to join our team on the 1st shift. The position offers a schedule of four 10-hour shifts from 7am to 5:15 p.m. (Monday – Thursday), with voluntary overtime opportunities available on Fridays. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating new molds, performing mold modifications, and conducting mold repairs according to prints. **Responsibilities** + Fabricate new molds according to specifications and prints. + Perform mold modifications and repairs as needed. + Utilize manual machining equipment such as mills, lathes, and grinders/polishers to machine parts for molds. + Assemble molds and ensure they are properly finished with grinding and polishing. + Troubleshoot mold issues and conduct new mold tryouts. + Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality mold production. **Essential Skills** + 4+ years of experience using manual machining equipment (mill, lathe, grinder/polisher) to machine parts for molds. + 4+ years of experience assembling molds. + 4+ years of experience in grinding, polishing, and finishing molds. + 4+ years of experience in troubleshooting and conducting new mold tryouts. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. + Experience with CNC programming is a plus. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. **Why Work Here?** Join a cohesive and collaborative team in a small metal injection molding operation. We recently added 3 more CNC machining centers (mills) due to an influx of work. The environment is supportive, with a strong focus on collaboration from department heads to production employees. We handle all of our own mold builds and maintenance, similar to plastic injection molding operations. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of PORT HURON, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $85000.00/yr. MUST 4+ years using manual machining equipment to machine parts for molds ( Mill, Lathe, and Grinder/Polisher) 4+ years assembling molds 4+ years of doing grinding/polishing and finishing of molds 4+ years of doing troubleshooting and new mold try outs Willingness to do mold repairs. WILL NOT BE a 100% mold making position.
