While reporting to the Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for performing mold preps and mold setting functions as well as machine set-up, preventative maintenance, repair of equipment, support systems and facility as required, in an efficient and safe manner. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must have a proven record of success in a continuous-paced environment. You must have a mechanical aptitude for utilizing basic hand/air tools for changing molds. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail.
What you will be doing:
Efficiently perform mold changes and machine setups.Having the ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot problems and various situations.Making incremental process adjustments, monitor and report quality of manufactured product.Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to setup jobs while following all lockout/tagout procedures.Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.Performing all duties as designated by supervisor/manager.Performing all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.Supporting other departments as needed.This position is in our Protective Solutions plant in Pardeeville, WI.
