Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Mold Setup Technician is to change and set up mold machines and provide maintenance support to maximize production efficiency. This position offers a great path to becoming a Master Technician.
ResponsibilitiesChange and set up die/tooling for the next production run.Provide mechanical support by troubleshooting malfunctions of the injection machine.Call in the maintenance team if unable to complete repairs.Remove all wires and hoses after a run to pull the tooling and molds out of the press.Select new tooling and place it within the machine.Hook up all proper wires, hoses, etc., to ensure the tooling is ready for the Process Technician.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitude with an understanding of tools and the ability to assemble/disassemble things mechanically.Experience with mechanical repair and troubleshooting.Experience in mold change, mold setting, and injection molding.Ability to use a multi-meter.Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.Experience with blueprint reading and machine setup.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior industrial manufacturing experience working on machinery.Experience with plastics and mold setting is a plus.Overhead crane experience.Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out procedures.Cylinder repair experience.Any industrial maintenance experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This is a night shift position with a 2-2-3 schedule from 7 pm to 7 am. The work environment is hot and loud, with a hot plastic smell that can be a deterrent. The facility is non-climate controlled. Bottoms can include jeans, shorts, cargo pants, basketball shorts, and sweatpants, but not leggings, jeggings, or spandex. Shorts should reach near the knee, and pants should sit properly at the hip. Closed-toe rubber sole shoes are required. No dangling jewelry is allowed, and tattoos and hair color are acceptable as long as they are not offensive.
