Production Engineering Specialist
Your role and responsibilitiesSet up and run all rubber mold pressesDevelop knowledge of best molding procedures for all parts Trains molding operators as required to ensure competence with quality issues The use of secondary equipment (air grinders, hot knives, wire brushes, fixtures, etc.), housekeeping requirements, safety issues, molding defects identified as unacceptable, or other issues as identified by the Production SupervisorOperate forklifts and overhead cranesKeep Tooling department informed on the removal or return of any tooling, molds and fixturesDevelops and maintains material handling skills (Fork truck, taking rubber to molding presses and loadingDoes minor maintenance in coordination with Tooling, Machine Shop and MaintenanceParticipates effectively in improvement project teamsMake suggestions to Molder OperationKeeps records including but not limited to shift reports, changes to press set ups. Communicates often and effectively with Production Supervision, Molders, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance and Machine ShopPerform other duties as assigned
Qualifications for the roleVocational education in some manufacturing discipline highly desirable3-5 years molding experience in similar environmentMeasuring equipment skills Previous experience in physically demanding work in factory environment preferred
