Mold Technician
**Mold Technician** **3 Day Work Week** **Apply Today!** **Job Description** As a Mold Technician, you will set up and change molds and auxiliary equipment, troubleshoot, and cycle in presses according to setup instruction sheets to produce plastic components that meet customer specifications. You will also perform insert changes on injection molds, evaluate and document process accuracy, correct quality and cycle time deviations, and purge material from presses. **Responsibilities** + Set and change molds and auxiliary equipment according to setup instruction sheets. + Troubleshoot and cycle in presses to produce plastic components. + Perform insert changes on injection molds. + Evaluate and document accuracy of process sheets and setup instructions. + Correct quality and cycle time deviations. + Purge material from presses. + Fill, empty, and clean hoppers. + Dry and maintain plastic resins according to Bill of Material guidelines. + Grind runners and scrap parts, and empty and clean grinders. + Label all materials and return materials and related paperwork. + Assist in training and starting up press operators. + Assist in counting production products at the end of the shift. + Assist in sampling new and revised tools and equipment. + Create maintenance and toolroom work orders in the ERP system. + Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 2 years’ experience with setting up and cycling in of plastic injection molds or similar experience. + Technically sound and hands-on in troubleshooting injection molding processes and equipment. + Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting pressroom equipment. + Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate clearly. + Efficiently move between job functions and prioritize tasks. + Strong problem-solving skills and judgment capabilities. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Accurate use of counting scales. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with Milicron, Demag, Van Dorn Demag, and Arburg machines. + Familiarity with ISO medical standards is a plus. + Scientific molding/RJG experience is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a comprehensive benefits package including a 401(k) plan with matching, dental insurance, health insurance, vision insurance, health savings account, life insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, a referral program, tuition reimbursement, and observance of all standard holidays including Good Friday and Black Friday. **Work Environment** You will be working in a manufacturing environment specializing in plastic injection molding.
