ResponsibilitiesThe Team Leader reports to the Shift Supervisor. The Team Leader will be able to perform the job of Packer / Handler, and will oversee and direct the operation of the Molding Department to ensure parts are being manufactured and packaged to Berry Global Standards. Team Leaders will be knowledgeable of all the injection molding machines, the process, raw materials, minor machine adjustments, quality standards, packaging standards, documentation and housekeeping. In performing these responsibilities, employees are to work safely, efficiently, and cooperatively in a manner that demonstrates team member involvement.
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Part handling requirements include inspections, trimming, hot stamping, handle installation, gasket installation, and packing per instructions. Inspection of product, verification of pull-apart, stacking product onto tray packs, labeling and documentation of finished product and transfer from presses to staging for shrink wrap.
Responsible for maintaining production supplies such as bags, gaskets, handles, labels, tray packs, and TPI’s.
Exhibit leadership skills, develop and apply training skills, use problem-solving abilities to handle situations that may arise in the workplace, motivate and communicate with Packer / Handlers, alert Mold Techs and Shift Supervisor of safety, quality, machine, raw material, packaging, documentation or production concerns.
Coordinate and give breaks (lunch) to Packer / Handlers.
Oversee housekeeping and safety standards in the Molding Department.
Any other tasks as assigned.

Directly lead Packer / Handlers. Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies. Responsibilities include training associates, planning, and directing work.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Must be able to perform the functions of Packer / Handler or have previous manufacturing experience.
Must be able to be on feet (standing, walking) for entire shift, excluding breaks; must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds, and be able to tolerate repetitive hand labor.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Previous manufacturing experience; able and willing to multi-task while paying attention to detail; good communication skills.
