Perform emergency maintenance and scheduled preventive maintenance on injection molding machines, molds, and extrusion lines. Hang molds, complete change overs to molds and machines. Obtain spare parts and technical information for spare parts. Under general supervision receives instructions by way of electronic transmission, verbal, or written from Supervisor regarding production maintenance or troubleshooting tasks. **Job Details:** 1. Associate is responsible to follow requirements of TMC Quality system, including but not limited to: process controls, inspection procedures, document/data control, and change control practices. 2. Maintain operational status of all injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, molds, and extrusion lines with the help of an experienced technician when needed. 3. Process responsibilities include: Hanging molds, completing change overs, operating molding machines, loading programs, completing paperwork, and diagnosis part problems as machine, mold or process issues. 4. Mold Maintenance responsibilities: Disassemble and assemble molds using care not to damage expensive tooling, use of precision equipment to troubleshoot and measure tooling, use Solid Works and drawings to check and order tooling. Troubleshoot tooling problems including Hot Runner Systems. 5. Machine Maintenance Responsibilities: Diagnosis injection molding machine problems, determine if problem is electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical and repair as needed. 6. Order spare parts, maintain inventory on all electrical components, and monitor usage, improve or change application of parts (finding better more durable parts), interaction with vendors, and pricing. 7. Tooling inspection, learn to use precision measuring equipment to complete incoming tooling inspections. 8. Work with engineering on new projects and upgrades to production equipment. 9. Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance in addition to emergency repairs. 10. Maintenance of documentation. 11. Performs other job related duties assigned **.** + **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)** + Mechanical aptitude is critical, as much of the knowledge needed comes from hands on training and working with experienced maintenance technicians. + Knowledge and experience with pneumatic systems preferred + Knowledge and experience with hydraulic systems is preferred. + Knowledge and experience with electric is preferred. + Considerable standing, reaching, pulling, stooping, etc., with occasional assistance lifting of weights up to 100 lbs. + Requires hand eye coordination in making precise and critical adjustments. + Good verbal and written communicationskills. + Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics. + **Background Experiences** + Requires an AA degree in a relevant field with at least 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Industrial Electric training with a degree or certification or equivalent experience preferred. + Experience with Solid Works is preferred + Arc Flash Training is preferred + Experience working in a regulated industry is preferred + Industrial safety training is preferred Benefits and Compensation We provide competitive and comprehensive benefit options that allow you to design your own plan based on your individual needs which include: paid vacation, paid holidays, health, dental and vision benefits, 401(k), with matching contributions, tax advantage savings accounts, legal plan, voluntary life and AD&D insurance, voluntary long-term disability, short term disability, critical illness and accident insurance, parental leave, personal leave, tuition reimbursement, travel assistance, and an employee assistance program.
