Job Title: Lab Technologist
Job Description

The position is in the Immunoassay and Allergy Group, responsible for the preparation of samples to be analyzed by ICP/MS. This role involves specimen management, sample preparation, and instrument setup. You will perform tests and analyses according to established procedures in the designated technical department, gaining knowledge of department operations and procedures. The employee will be responsible for sample preparation, amplification, loading on genetic analyzers, and result review. Additional bench duties may be required based on staffing, specimen volumes, and workflow needs as determined by the supervisor.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare samples to be analyzed by ICP/MS.Manage specimens and handle sample preparation.Set up instruments for analysis.Perform tests and analyses according to established procedures.Gain knowledge of department procedures and operations.Prepare samples, perform amplification, and load samples on genetic analyzers.Review results and ensure accuracy.Perform additional bench duties as required based on staffing and workflow needs.Essential SkillsKnowledge of biology and chemistry.Experience with sample analysis and preparation.Understanding of laboratory techniques including ICP/MS.Ability to follow established testing procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsBS in Biology or Chemistry.0-1 years of lab experience.Prior experience with ICP/MS is a plus.Work Environment

You will work in the immunoassay and allergy department located in a large reference lab on the LabCorp campus. The role requires being on your feet throughout the day and being comfortable going in and out of walk-in coolers to receive samples. The position is Monday-Friday, working 8 AM to 5 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
