The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Molecular Sales team as a Molecular Clinical Specialist (MCS). In this pivotal role, you will lead strategic sales efforts, convey the clinical value of our advanced testing solutions, and support the execution of sales strategies to increase market share and exceed sales goals for Roche Molecular Diagnostics solutions.
As a Molecular Clinical Specialist, you will:
lead sales generation for assigned accounts or territories, focusing on large, complex, and high-visibility strategic accounts.
utilize your strong clinical and molecular expertise to influence customers and key opinion leaders.
engage with a diverse range of customers, including visiting existing and prospective clients, expanding accounts, and acquiring new business.
contribute to developing and implementing national sales campaigns and strategies for medium to large accounts.
take an active leadership role in the collaborative creation and execution of innovative sales strategies aimed at achieving your assigned sales targets.
utilize your in-depth product and market knowledge, along with your extensive sales experience, to navigate complex sales scenarios and effectively address customer inquiries and concerns.
continuously expand your understanding of current industry trends, competitive landscapes, and technical knowledge. Share these valuable insights with your Roche colleagues to foster informed decision-making.
proactively identify opportunities to retain, extend, and acquire customers by devising and implementing tailored solutions.
build and nurture robust client relationships that drive growth, profitability, and predictability. Collaborate with other Roche functions to ensure seamless sales support and effective delivery of programs and products.
This is a field-based role - the territory is Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Western Maryland, DC, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Ideal candidate to be located in DC, North Carolina or near a metropolitan airport.
Travel: up to 50% - overnight travel
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
5+ years relevant sales or equivalent experience
Preferred Requirements:
Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Microbiology or related field
Demonstrated ability to influence and build strong consultative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders
Entrepreneurial spirit, strong business acumen, strategic planning and organization skills

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Washington D.C. is 100,100.00 -185,900.00 USD. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position is eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Incentive Compensation Plan for the role.
