Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Charge Nurse provides clerical support for the department. Assumes responsibility for patient medical records. Manages communication of information. Accountable for regulatory compliance in areas of responsibility. The position reports to the charge Nurse. The position is subject to call-off based on unit census and productivity indicators. Assists with central monitoring in Telemetry Care.


Qualifications

Minimum:

One (1) year as Unit Coordinator or Nursing Assistant required or equivalent (i.e. MA, EMT etc.)American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-CPR)Basic EKG certification and interpretation computerized order entry.Basic computer operations.Proficiency in basic math skills word processing and keyboard and spread sheets.
