Position: The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is hiring a Monitoring Support Analyst – Analyst 3 for the State Office located in Boise. Salary Range: $29.75 - $33.71 Responsibilities : · Compliance Monitoring Data Portal (CMDP) Administration: - Act as the lead contact for CMDP-related questions or issues. - Support DEQ, health district, Idaho certified labs, and public water system staff and operators with CMDP. - On-board labs to use CMDP. - Maintain the CMDP application: ensure DEQ uses the most current version; review and follow up on advisory reports; add/modify application users and user groups; and ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity to produce excellent data quality. Coordinate with IT and field offices to beta test and provide seamless transitions to new software and applications. - Maintain the CMDP external web page. - Maintain interfacing applications related to CMDP, such as LabForms. - Develop, review, and maintain quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports associated with CMDP data analysis. - Participate as a member of the CMDP User Acceptance Testing (UAT) work group. - Develop and maintain CMDP user (internal and external) and administrative procedure documents, tracking logs, and user videos. - Staff assistance: create notifications, provide trainings as necessary, and respond to questions related to CMDP in coordination with the State Lab as necessary. - Maintain CMDP application performance and troubleshoot issues in coordination with IT staff and contractor. - Identify CMDP resources and support tools for program staff. · Safe Water Drinking Information System (SDWIS) Database Backup - Act as the SDWIS back-up and provide SDWIS customer service as needed. - Participate as a member of the Drinking Water - State, Federal, Tribal, Information Exchange System (DW-SFTIES) UAT work group. - Develop, review, and maintain QA/QC reports associated with data analysis related to SDWIS. - Participate in SDWIS transition planning for our move into DW-SFTIES. · Miscellaneous - Act as the Laserfiche backup. - Conduct sanitary survey audits. - Participate in United States Environmental Protection Agency file reviews. - Manage regional equipment inventory (pH meters, tablets, and pressure recorders). · Program Planning and Oversight - Participate in statewide drinking water in-service meetings. - Coordinate with other program staff to establish and track program goals and perform strategic planning activities. - Develop project proposals, work plans, and contract specifications for special projects as identified. - Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a bachelor's degree in the physical or biological sciences, political science, business or public administration, engineering, or related natural resources management fieldORany combination of education and/or experience equivalent to a typical four (4) year bachelor's degree. For example: Successful completion of sixty (60) semester hours of study, including twenty four (24) semester hours in a subject required for the specific discipline, is equivalent to two (2) years of undergraduate education; and/or experience performing routine duties in completing multiple tasks such as policy research, data collection, interpretation, analysis and preparation of reports and written documents for at least two (2) years can substitute for one (1) year of college. AND At least four (4) years' experience managing and implementing, projects or component(s) of programs that are environmental, regulatory, or administrative in nature, where you were required to routinely perform program or project planning; provide technical assistance to staff, special interest groups and the public; and provide policy and/or regulatory interpretation and/or development. OR Possession of a master's degree in any of the above fieldsAND at least two (2) years' professional experience managing and implementing, or overseeing projects or component(s) of programs that are environmental in nature, where you were required to routinely perform program or project planning; provide technical assistance to staff, special interest groups and the public; and provide policy and/or regulatory interpretation and/or development.
