Managing over 10,000 patients every year, Cleveland Clinic has one of the largest, most comprehensive programs in the world for the evaluation, medical and surgical treatment of epilepsy in children and adults. Within the Epilepsy Department, you will be part of a family of caregivers committed to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies and surgical treatment options.
A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 11:00AM – 11:00PM and 7:00PM – 7:00AM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Gather data using closed circuit audio/visual equipment and electrophysiological recording instruments. Utilize electrophysiological recording instruments using both surface recording electrodes and electrophysiological recording instruments. Perform record keeping data using the computer and maintain daily logs of patients' status. Use critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work with minimal supervision.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient care field Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association One year experience as a non-registered EEG Technician irst year completion of Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) credentialing for Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) within two years of hirePreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Physical Requirements:
Ability to assist with positioning and transporting of patients, pushing beds, carts and wheelchairs.Must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.Possible exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
