Morgue Coordinator

Facility: Valleywise Health Medical Center

Department: LAB Anatomic Pathology - Roosevelt

Schedule: Regular FT 40 Hours Per Week

Shifts: Days

As the morgue coordinator, you will be a member of the laboratory team working in conjunction with other healthcare professionals to provide care services after end-of-life. You will assist with scheduling and facilitating viewings for families and/or representatives of decedents. You will be responsible for managing decedents and appropriately coordinating human remains' release. You may be required to assist with autopsies. You will organize and maintain long-term storage of anatomic pathology specimens and materials and discard them after the required retention period.   Valleywise Health is committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive benefits designed to help our employees and their families stay physically and financially fit. Experience: None Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing. Requires the ability to effectively read, write, and speak in English, including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Requires excellent time management and customer service skills. Must possess basic computer skills. Requires creative, analytical, and independent thinking. Must be approachable, open to feedback, and flexible to change. Must support and maintain policies and processes. Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism and enthusiasm.
