**John Deere Morrisville: Engineering Electrification Technician**
As an **Engineering Electrification Technician** with John Deere in Morrisville, NC (Electrification Lab), you will:
Work with design / test engineers to support test activities, including building test fixtures, debugging circuitry, performing equipment maintenance, and setting up / performing test. Work is performed in a lab environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.
Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:
+ Set up Dynamometers for electric motor and/or inverter testing.
+ Perform inspection and tests as necessary to determine cause of defective electronic assemblies with instruction.
+ Rework production per company and industry standards.
+ Build test harnesses, loads and circuit boards to support product design as required.
+ Document and maintain records relating to work performed.
+ Inform supervisor of process or design problems and assist in the corrective action.
+ Design and build engineering test fixtures.
+ Assist and support other team members and work with minimal supervision.
+ Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
+ Must have at least one of the following:
+ High School Diploma or G.E.D.
+ National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
+ At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
+ Associates degree in technology-related field (Electronic Engineering Technology, Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering Technology, etc.) or equivalent experience.
+ At least 1 year of related work experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering
+ Experience with computers and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
+ Experience with diagnostic equipment and methods (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
+ Hands-on experience troubleshooting to identify root cause.
+ Experience reading and utilizing technical schematics, drawings, and/or datasheets.
+ Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
+ Ability and willingness to work potential overtime.
**What Makes You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):**
+ At least 3 year of related work experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering that includes an understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude.
+ Experience with electronics; including ability to solder.
+ Experience in one or more of the following areas: 3D Printing, Electronics, Electrician/Electrical Contracting, High Voltage Electrical Safety, Electric motor repair, On-road/off-road Automotive Repair, Communication/Networking hardware, Computer repair, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, HVAC.
