Tri Pointe Connect, the mortgage affiliate of Tri Pointe Homes, is looking for an experienced individual to join our talented group as a Mortgage Approval Advisor working a hybrid schedule in our Scottsdale, Arizona office. Must be located in Arizona. Position Highlights:The Mortgage Approval Advisor will work directly with clients, prior to signing a contract to purchase a Tri Pointe home, to prequalify for a loan. This individual will be the primary point of contact throughout the pre-approval process. Clients will be generated from the local market after showing interest in purchasing a home from Tri Pointe Homes. The Mortgage Approval Advisor will ensure the client is receiving exceptional customer service while maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements for FHA, VA and Conventional Loans. This position may support several branches and hold multiple NMLS State licenses. Position Responsibilities: Ascertain all pertinent documentation to ensure the loan is pre- qualified. Obtain necessary supporting documentation and verify that the supporting documentation matches the information in the loan origination system, Encompass. Review documents submitted by the client to ensure completeness while comparing data entered into the loan application for accuracy. Calculate income on potentially complex scenarios such as business tax returns or self-employment. Maintain updated communication logs or other status reports in the loan origination system, Encompass. Utilize appropriate Automated Underwriting Systems and submit loans to the appropriate local originator once pre-approval is complete. Maintain a strong working knowledge of how to originate loans based on the state, federal and investor guidelines. May disposition status of documents received to include acceptance or rejection documentation for acceptability of meeting loan conditions Communicate effectively with all parties to include the client, the mortgage branch, and New Home Advisor. Manage personal production and ensure clients are updated throughout the process. In conformity with company policies, procedures, and applicable law, the Mortgage Approval Advisor will collect and analyze each client's financial information and assess if the individual can qualify for a specific loan product while managing a heavy volume pipeline for multiple states. Meet and/or exceed company benchmarks as established by leadership. Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and customer service towards all customers, internally and externally. Attend weekly meeting as required. Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of processing or origination experience, preferably within a builder environment. Thorough knowledge of all mortgage products to include FHA, VA, and Convential loans Must have a working knowledge of Encompass (loan origination system), recent experience preferred Must have Active Arizona license.
