As a Mortgage Loan Processor, you will earn $22.00 - $33.00 per hour and be eligible for a production incentive while helping customers achieve their dream of homeownership. WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?\n

We hope that you are ready to continue your Mortgage career with us. As a Mortgage Loan Processor at Mercantile Bank, you will play a key role in supporting 3-6 Loan Officers by overseeing the production of mortgage files from application to closing. Your responsibilities will include ordering, obtaining, and validating various documents critical to the loan process, ensuring regulatory timelines are met, and collaborating with customers and Loan Officers to collect necessary documentation. Your expertise in understanding Portfolio, secondary market, and investor guidelines will be essential as you submit loans through an Automated Underwriting System, analyze findings, and clear basic underwriting conditions.\n

With your proficiency in the Bank's Loan Origination System and other tools, you will assist in resolving loan file exceptions and obtaining final loan approvals.\n

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR JOB\n

To excel as a Mortgage Loan Processor at Mercantile Bank, you must possess exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with customers, Loan Officers, Underwriters, and various stakeholders involved in the mortgage process. A minimum of 2 years of Mortgage Loan Processing experience is required, along with strong organizational skills and advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Knowledge of Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA, RD, and VA guidelines is essential, while experience with Encompass is preferred. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail skills, be adaptable, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.\n
