Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Mortgage Loan Processor in Boston, Massachusetts. The Mortgage Loan Processor role involves foreclosure relief efforts to help families retain homeownership. This position works collaboratively with loan officers, underwriters, and closers to manage the mortgage loan origination process. Key responsibilities include assessing file needs, managing applicant communications, ordering necessary documents (e.g., titles, appraisals), preparing files for underwriting or closing, and meeting production goals while ensuring compliance with mortgage regulations. The processor will also handle initial applicant inquiries and assist in scheduling prequalification calls. Key Qualifications: At least 2+ years of mortgage loan processing experience. Strong customer service skills, particularly with foreclosure-facing clients. Knowledge of mortgage underwriting guidelines and regulations. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to meet deadlines under pressure. Familiarity with loan origination software (e.g., Encompass) is preferred. Interest in or commitment to social and economic justice. Requirements • Minimum of one year experience in Mortgage Origination Processing. • Proficiency in using Calyx Point and Encompass software. • Demonstrable knowledge of Mortgage Loan Origination. • Familiarity with banking compliance regulations. • Experience in handling appraisals. • Capable of efficiently managing Loan Origination processes. • Proficiency in using Calyx software. • Experience in Mortgage Processing. • Solid understanding of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA).
