The responsibilities of this job are to personally generate mortgage volume and  oversee and manage the designated lending staff.  This position focuses on affordable housing initiatives within a defined large geographic area or state.

 

This position is open to the Greater Alabama Area.

Responsibilities Cross-train, lead and develop team of associates to promote maximum productivity, engagement, succession planning and overall contribution to strategic organizational goals. Proactively solicits new residential mortgage business and identify, develop, and maintain a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities; real estate network may consist of real estate professionals, builders, professional and personal contacts, as well as other valuable referral sourcesWork with Strategic Community Lending Manager on the development of strategic goals, for recommendation of product development applicable to the regional requirements, and for the creation and monitoring of regional budgets that support the SBU and Corp overall goals, etc.Responsible for overseeing all Fair Lending, CRA for with defined Region. Duties to include establishing application goals, outreach expectations, establishing and sustaining municipal alliance, supporting Fair Lending/CRA efforts by providing direction/ leadership, crafting, sustaining a vision for program, working closely w/ various committees to ensure satisfactory/ timely response to various needs, addressing compliance related needs, and working closely with Fair and Responsible Banking as needed. Responsible for retail production operations for defined region to ensure local associates work as a team to ensure growth, regulatory compliance, customer service, profitability, etc. in such a way as to that will support meeting and exceeding established business goals and expectations. Responsible for insuring production is processed, underwritten, and closed according to investor guidelines, and in accordance with various regulators policies (OCC, Federal Reserve, HMDA, RESPA, etc.), as well as adherence to all Trustmark requirements.Assisting or supervising the processing of the loan files, participates in the contribution to overall departmental goals and objectives, successfully complete special tasks assigned and coordinate the functions of your assigned area of expertise.Recruit & Train Community Lending/ Originators on policies, procedures, business development and community relations.Develops and expands external relationships through outreach with local, state and regional Community Development organizations focusing on affordable housing, small business development, neighborhood revitalization and stabilization, disaster recovery and essential services for low- and moderate-income/ Majority Minority individuals and families. Maintains and documents qualified CRA investments, services and community development lending and other reporting critical to preparing for CRA. Mortgage loan production activity required to complete applications and gather documents as needed to meet the parameters of the loan type, i.e., FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional, portfolio, etc.Perform additional duties as assigned.  Qualifications Must have 10+ years of mortgage production experience, including significant experience originating affordable housing mortgages Must have 5+ years of experience managing a variety of mortgage related positions Must have expertise knowledge of FHA/VA & conventional mortgage guidelinesMust know all consumer disclosure requirements and compliance regulations regarding home loansMust be able to interpret and administer complex compliance laws and regulationsMust have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel including the ability to create and maintain spreadsheetsMust exercise exceptional analytical and critical thinking skillsMust have outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectivelyMust be detail oriented and demonstrate good organizational skillsMust be able to work independently with minimum supervisionMust be able to multi-task and exercise solid time management principles to prioritize workload Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareRefer this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
