**CTG is seeking to fill a Mortgage Processor II opening for our client in Ballston Lake, NY.** **Location:** Ballston Lake, NY **Duration:** 12 months **Overview:** The Mortgage Processor II is responsible for processing conventional and government loan requests, ensuring compliance with product, underwriting, and state-specific investor guidelines. This role works with various internal departments and external organizations to gather documentation and ensure loan applications are completed and accurate, promoting a seamless application experience. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Maintain effective communication with customers, brokers, loan officers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth processing of loan applications. + Gather all necessary documentation for loan applications, including Verification of Employment, IRS Transcripts, title search, appraisal, bank statements, and other required forms. + Notify relevant parties of any irregularities in the application process according to mortgage guidelines. + Review and update credit reports, appraisals, and income documentation to meet underwriting conditions and ensure timely resolution of issues. + Perform administrative duties such as preparing commitment letters, reviewing title and homeowners insurance, mailing loan suspend notices, and coordinating with the closing attorney. + Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all documents and processes. + Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that loan documentation is up-to-date and all necessary steps are followed. + Ensure compliance with internal control standards and the company’s risk and regulatory policies. + Assist in continuous process improvements, adapting to changes in the mortgage environment, and resolving issues quickly and efficiently. **Scope of Responsibilities:** + Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders including customers, co-workers, loan officers, and brokers. + Handle multiple loan applications and related documentation with high attention to detail and timeliness. **Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:** + This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, but the Mortgage Processor II is expected to manage their own workload and collaborate with others to ensure smooth and efficient loan processing. **Education and Experience Required:** + Associate's degree with a minimum of one year of mortgage industry experience, or two years of equivalent work experience. + Alternatively, three years of work experience, including at least one year in the mortgage industry. + OR, six months of M&T Bank mortgage processing experience, plus an additional 6-12 months of experience in customer service, operations, or financial services. + Proficiency with PC software including spreadsheet, word processing, email, and PDF software. **Education and Experience Preferred:** + Ability to make sound decisions based on available information. + Knowledge of product, investor, and compliance requirements. + Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic mortgage environment. + Strong organizational skills, multitasking, and attention to detail. + Ability to prioritize daily tasks and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + A strong work ethic with reliability and dependability.
