Key Position Details:

**This position supports perinatal loss program, coordinates, provides mother baby center tours and supports patient and nursing education**.7 FTE (56-hours per 2-week schedule)8-hour day shiftsNo weekendsFull-time benefit eligible

Job Description:

Facilitates patient and family education classes and groups. Provide resources and support for learners and their families. Participates in curriculum design and evaluation.

Principle Responsibilities

Facilitates patient and family education classes and groups.Presents information effectively, integrating knowledge of adult education principles.Creates a supportive classroom environment.Conducts learner-centered classes, including age and cultural considerations and incorporating adaptations for barriers to learning.Serves as a resource to learners.Facilitates patient transition between and within healthcare settings, including collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.Provides program support.Participates in curriculum design and evaluation, and development of instructional materials / methods.Participates in committee work.Maintains database for program compliance.May participate in community outreach and awareness.May provide tours of the clinical unit.Contributes to development of multidisciplinary standards of proactive and evidence-based practice.Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing2 to 5 years of clinical experience


Preferred Qualifications

2 to 5 years in teaching/facilitation experience


Licenses/Certifications

Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required for Registered Nurse in Minnesota practice setting upon hireLicensed Registered Nurse - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required for Registered Nurse in Wisconsin practice setting upon hireBLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required from American Heart Association or Allina Health upon hireCertified Childbirth Educator Certification For Perinatal settings upon hire preferred

Pay Range

Pay Range: $41.98 to $58.08 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
