Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will operate a variety of trucks and tractor trailers. You will operate vehicles on public roads, rough terrain, improved and unimproved roads. You will operate transportation, construction, or other mobile equipment. You will operate power take off equipment. You will ensure the proper loading and securing of cargo. You will perform operator level maintenance on assigned vehicles. You will complete trip tickets and accident reports (if needed). You will perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections and report identified issues. You will transport weapons and ammunition. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including: 1) Operating trucks to transport supplies, materials, equipment and tools or to tow equipment, to include weapons and ammunition; and 2) Performing operator maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and air pressure in tires and cleaning and washing vehicles. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
