Prepares tractors and trucks for mounting of mower units, including miscellaneous mechanical tasks such as installation of strobe lights or backup alarms. Assembles mount kits onto tractors and trucks using blueprints, schematics and operator’s manuals. Performs mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assemblies.    Disassembles mount kits as needed. Required to make varied modifications to parts as required for different tractor and truck configurations. Operates forklift, hoist, and overhead crane to move and position parts and materials as needed. Performs paint touch-up duties on completed assemblies as needed. Analyze bills of materials and parts manuals for accuracy. Communicates required changes.  Accurately records work order information and inventory transactions. Performs inspection of unit after assembly using checklists. Provides necessary tools for the job.
