The Mountain Patroller ensures the safety of our guests and employees both on and off the mountain. This individual supports multiple priorities including supporting the opening and closing of the mountain, assisting in diverse emergency and medical situations, and collaborating with other departments to drive a culture of safety and service. This role may work at both BRC and Soda Springs. The Mountain Patroller must have a strong ability to ski/snowboard, employment will be terminated if unable to demonstrate ability.

Maintains all mountain safety activities such as opening and closing trails, removing, reporting, and marking hazards, reporting trail conditions, performing trail checks, and responding to potential incidents.Competently conducts emergency medical care, mountain rescue, lift evacuation, and patient transport.Communicates and makes collaborative decisions for guest safety and mountain operations with Mountain Patrol leadership.Provides an excellent level of service to our guests and employees.Completes all required gear inspections and training and has a thorough understanding of medical policies and procedures.Educates guests and employees in safe riding and skiing, as well as terrain park use and etiquette.Skis or Snowboards in challenging terrain with a toboggan and other equipment.What We're Looking For:
Strong skiing/snowboarding capabilitiesEMT or OEC Certification with current CPR certificationAbility to lift 50lb+Experience working as mountain patrol and/or leadership is a plusAbility to work in variable outdoor conditionsAbility to transport self to and from shifts in a punctual mannerYou make us Woodward.
