In the role of Movable Bridge Section Manager, we'll count on you to:Take responsibility for operations of the Oregon-based Movable Bridge Group including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support.Function as Project Manager and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilitiesTake administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections and business groupsBe involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews in collaboration with other Market Sector Leaders.Be directly involved with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issuesSee that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management systemImplement, monitor and support company policyServe in a lead technical role on movable bridge and hydraulic structure design projects.Perform complex planning, analysis and design for all heavy movable structure aspects of transportation, hydropower, and water projects.Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, involving a large project staff.Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.Serve as a technical specialist or Project Manager and supervise engineers in the performance of engineering tasks.Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at the project sites in conjunction with other Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines.Participate in project reviews with the Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller or Company Controller and Transportation Business Group Manager.Implement QA/QC procedures.Interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills.Select, train, develop and manage technical personnel.Manage and develop multidiscipline teams.Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts.Perform other duties as needed.
