Moving and Events Services Associate
Report to Address: FM Admin Building 115 Grigsby Dr. Williamsburg va 23185 Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Perform moving and event services activities as per work order requests. Assist with the maintenance of inventory records, logs, and other documentation. Load and unload furniture and equipment from campus facilities onto trucks. Manually move furniture and materials in the warehouse and other storage areas. Assemble and disassemble furniture, and make minor repairs. Transport materials to the appropriate destination. Assemble, set up, and break down furniture and event items, as requested and scheduled. Provide collection, transport, and cleanup support after events. Support department emergency recovery efforts. Work outside to remove snow, ice, and/or storm debris from entrances, steps, and sidewalks. Required Qualifications A valid Driver’s license and two years of driving experience are required. Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively and understand others. Ability to display good customer skills. Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions, and work independently on assigned tasks. Basic computer skills, with the ability to respond, create and send emails. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly without assistance, and to lift and move over 75 lbs. with assistance and/or by using the appropriate tools. Ability to operate a forklift and heavy equipment. Demonstrated ability and skills to drive safely to and from destinations, following traffic regulations **Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
