MRI Aide
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Rotating Shift **Description:** To assist the MRI Technologist in their daily duties + Assist Technologist with prepping patient for examination. + Welcome and greet patients by introducing yourself. + Help get patients changed + Identify and assist with special needs IE: wheelchair, hearing defects etc. Use proper scripting when answering questions or responding to concerns + Assist technologist in positioning patient on the MRI table + Under the direction of the MRI technologist, transport patients, and assist technologist in completing MRI related tasks + Access patient information from the hospital information system. Input pharmacy charges for contrast, assist in updating chart notes and scanning in paperwork. + Using proper etiquette, answer phone and coordinate patient flow with nursing units and the Emergency Department. + Under the direction of the MRI technologist, assist in MRI safety screening including safety form review, surgical history and device look up + Stock supplies, linen and prepare MRI room for next patient. + Maintain the Trinity Health Core Values in the work performed every day **POSITION QUALIFICATIONS** + High school graduate with patient experience or Medical Assistant certification. + Must meet MRI safety screening requirements to work within Zone 4 magnetic field. + Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral.
