Short Description
Interviews and screen patients prior to MRI procedures to ensure there are no safety concerns/contraindication. Performs MRI procedures following the protocols established by the Radiologists.Begins studies, transfers images, documents patient history, and completes studies in EPIC / EMR and PACS system
Experience Required
Canon MRI experience preferred but not necessary.Able to correctly apply MRI compatible monitoring system/IV infusion pump to patients when necessary.Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are needed to effectively orchestrate the daily workflow of patients.Highly developed customer service skills are required. The ability to work well as part of a team.
Education Requirements
A high school diploma or GED equivalency is requiredGraduate of AMA Approved RT Program
License/Certification Requirements
Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists); Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification preferredBLS/CPR preferred, required after 6 months' employment
Special Requirements
Rotating holiday shifts per year required
