What We Are Looking For:

Woodland Heights Medical Center Radiology Department is now hiring a full-time MRI Tech to work in our thriving 149-bed acute care hospital. Under the Director of Imaging Services, our MRI techs operate diagnostic equipment and are responsible for the efficient daily operation of the M.R.I. Suite(s) which involves quality control/quality assurance of equipment, and magnetic resonance protocols.

 

Responsibilities Include: Coordinating patient flow and the activities of the MRI Department; setting up and operating the M.R.I. Suite(s) to be utilized in the patient scanning procedure. Providing patient orientation, procedure explanation, positioning patients, calibrating equipment, pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test and documentation of findings. Maintaining patient safety through attention to detail, equipment safety checks, adhering to department policies, and effectively communicating with physicians, staff and patients. Assisting patients with basic patient care needs. 

 

Which Qualifications Do You Need?  In order to set you up for success, you need the basics of… 

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program from an accredited institution. Licensure/ Certification Required: BLS certification - through an approved AHA program Currently licensed as Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) with Texas Medical Board (TMB) Currently registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT(R)(MR).Experience: One (1) year related work experience preferred; Two (2) years of experience in discipline preferred; willing to train new grads
