Qualifications Education/Knowledge/Skills: Must be a graduate of an accredited educational program of radiologic technology, nuclear medicine technology, radiation therapy, sonography, or magnetic resonance technology. Must have knowledge of: magnetic imaging physics and the imaging process; filing and reporting systems; current developments in imaging; hospital functions; and policies, procedures and regulations as they relate to imaging service. For staff involved in the care of age-specific groups, knowledge of the bio-psychosocial needs of adult, geriatric and pediatric patients is essential. Special knowledge is required in growth and development needs of pediatric/geriatric patients where applicable. Experience: Experience in sectional imaging and use of sectional imaging equipment are preferred. Orientation is given to all newly employed personnel, as well as educational preparation for specialty areas if needed. Licensure/Certifications: ARRT(R) and within one (1) year ARRT (MRI) required. State licensure in accordance with Tennessee guidelines. ARRT (R) (MR) preferred with experience.
