Your expertise and attention to detail contribute to exceptional patient care and efficient department operations. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Clinical Competency:** + Maintain proficiency in operating MRI equipment and stay updated on technological advancements. + Perform high-quality MRI scans with precision and attention to patient safety. + **Patient Identification and Universal Protocol:** + Properly identify patients using two identifiers. + Follow universal protocol guidelines during procedures to prevent errors. + Review patient history and assess physician orders to tailor protocols for optimal data acquisition. + Administer contrast agents as needed and document patient history in electronic records. + **Physician Collaboration:** + Present relevant patient information to physicians before starting exams. + Follow established protocols to ensure accurate and efficient imaging. + **Administrative Tasks:** + Code and track all exams within your responsibility using the RIS system. + Update and document patient information in Rad Assessment. + Network exams to ISITE for archiving and interpretation. + Enter charges accurately for performed exams. + **Safety and Compliance:** + Adhere to MR safety guidelines and protocols. + Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. + **Effective Communication:** + Interact compassionately with patients and colleagues. + Explain procedures clearly to alleviate patient anxiety and encourage cooperation. + **Collaboration and Efficiency:** + Work seamlessly with other departments to expedite patient care. + Contribute to a positive team culture within the department. + **Archiving and Documentation:** + Review, process, and archive MRI images efficiently. MRI Tech level: Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT program or accredited ARDMS program. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Must obtain MR registry within 18 months of hire date. CPR or BLS Required.
