**Overview** **F** **airview Health Services is hiring a Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)** **Technologist to join our MRI department at our M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center location in Wyoming, MN.** Fairview Lakes Medical Center provides award-winning care to the communities that are northeast of the Twin Cities. We are a Level IV trauma center, providing life-saving treatment to the seriously ill and injured 24 hours a day. We offer complete care for your whole family. Specialty services are available on-site in heart care, cancer care, childbirth, orthopedics, pediatrics and more. The MRI Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT). **Schedule** **:** **This position is a casual** (0.01FTE). Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care supplies and equipment. Maintains patient care Performs examinations Identifies relevant data from images accurately Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional. Ensures patient safety and emergency preparedness Documents patient information Ensures proper film identification on all images Accurately completes computer functions-edits, status changes, logging Accurate film marking and jacket preparation Achieves quality diagnostic images by use of proper positioning of patients and correct operation of equipment. Performs training and education duties Participates in the orientation of new employees. Responsible for the training of students Participates in the training of health care professionals and new employees. Maintains equipment Correctly operates equipment and optimizes use of equipment Understands the structure visualized and its significance **Qualifications** Required: + Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) + Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements + Basic Life Support (BLS) - from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and current before date of hire Preferred: + 1 or more years of MRI scanning experience + ARRT MRI certification or successful completion within 18 months of hire + Additional certifications in Imaging **EEO Statement** EEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled: All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any lawfully protected status
