Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a member of the Dignity Health system of health care providers and is a not-for-profit medical facility. We are designated as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations. In addition to our acute care hospital we also own and operate two Rural Health Clinics providing walk-in immediate care as well as scheduled appointments for routine medical needs.We are located in the northernmost area of California and are part of a network of care including Mercy Medical Center Redding and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff. Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Operates MRI equipment with the ultimate goal of obtaining quality images of designated portions of the body. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for medical diagnosis. This position will include the use magnetic fields for the same purposes. This position may be responsible for other modalities within the Radiology area as required.

Qualifications

Position Summary:

Graduation from a JRCERT approved school of MRI technology and/or hold ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certificationAssociates degree or higher level of educationMaintain licensure in secondary modalities as required by state guidelinesCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Must be through the American Heart Association)The ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions is required to perform all tasks. Must be self-motivated
