2:30pm - 11:00pm. The schedule includes on call and a holiday rotation
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs MRI procedures. Adheres to MRI safety for patients and staff within MRI zones 1 through 4. Provides patient services using Magnetic diagnostic imaging.
EDUCATION AND LICENSES:
License to practice Radiologic Technology from NYS Department of Health with a current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. MR registry is required within two years of employment.
* An injection license is also a requirement.
EXPERIENCE: Experience preferable, however we will train a new graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
* GE experience is highly recommended.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May require standing for 1-4 hours or sitting 1-7.5 hours at a time. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Heavy carrying up to 50 pounds and pulling, pushing, repeated bending, manual dexterity and reaching above shoulder level are also required. Requires assisting patients on and off exam tables and positioning of patient.
CRITICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to work with minimal supervision and to set own priorities if necessary. Able to work effectively with patients of all ages and in all types of medical situations.
OCCUPATIONAL HAZARDS:
Potential exposure to hazardous and toxic substances and infectious patients. Is responsible for adhering to standards of MR safety and protection as established by regulatory bodies and monitored by the Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer (MRSO). Is responsible to use universal precautions.
PATIENT AGE AND TYPE SERVED:
Male and female - infant, child, adult, geriatric; acute care, outpatients, and emergency.
EQUIPMENT USED IN JOB:
MR equipment and systems specific to location. Various office equipment, such as computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines.
Pay Range: $35.55 - $45.70
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
