Description:

Position Purpose: 

Performs multiple imaging procedures in accordance with established parameters. Provides continuity of patient care. Assists Radiologist with procedures. Adheres to MercyOne’s performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne.

What you will Do: 

Prepares patient, room and equipment for procedure.

Provides patient cares in accordance with department policy.

Collects history data from patient and provides patient education.

Takes radiographic exposures appropriate to procedure.

Performs multiple imaging procedures and assists Radiologist with special procedures.

Provides radiologist pertinent information for interpretation.

Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.

Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit, which may include:

Birth-28 days: Neonate

1-18 Months: Infant

18 Mo-3 Yrs: Toddler

3-6 Yrs: Pre-School Aged

6-12 Yrs: School-Aged

12-18 Yrs: Adolescents

18-65 Yrs: Adults

 65+ Yrs: Geriatrics

Hours/Schedule:  

PRN - As Needed, As Available

Minimum Qualifications:  

Graduate of a two year accredited program in Radiography.

Previous MRI or CT experience preferred but not required.

ARRT registered in Radiography. MR preferred.  Mandatory Reporter. BLS.  Valid IA driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

Intermediate language, intermediate math, high reasoning ability.

•           Personal computer.

•           Ability to work with diverse group of people. Ability to make critical positioning decisions to determine which views most adequately demonstrate pathology. Strong interpersonal skills.
