Overview Performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnosis and treatment requiring independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative. Additional Essential Job Functions: - Perform imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, collaborating with physician to evaluate images and report abnormalities immediately - Follow established protocols for all imaging equipment, performing all routine daily, weekly, monthly and periodic maintenance and functions checks - Assist during exams, treatments and procedures, including chaperoning correlating findings with procedure being performed and ensuring Time-Out observed on appropriate procedures according to policy - Demonstrate proficiency at inserting and maintaining IV�s - Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures - Demonstrate ability to perform laboratory Quality Controls and Assessments, and routine daily, weekly, monthly and periodic maintenance and function according to Laboratory Policy and Procedure - Ensure proper supplies, appropriate medical equipment and medications are available for patient care and Par levels meet facility needs - Participates in QAPI activities including participation in accreditation preparation and survey process, and maintenance of accreditation, state, and CMS standards - Adheres to established facility/departmental policies and procedures - Prepare patient meals as needed in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols - Attends and participates in all applicable facility meetings,'training and development workshops - Performs all other duties as assigned by Manager Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Required advanced MRI certification upon hire. Prefer at least one year of experience as MRI Technologist. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Required ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registered technologist. Must have current BLS certification. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation (Required): Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a “frequent driver” Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a “non-frequent driver” X Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose May operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a “frequent driver” while other employees in this position may operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a “non-frequent driver” NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
