MRI TECHNOLOGIST- Radiology -Administration

Responsibilities

Upon the order of a qualified physician, the MRI Technologist will utilize equipment, which utilizes high field magnetic energy for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Imaging services vary by location, therefore, performance of certain MR and MRA exams may be required depending on assigned site. The MRI Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS). May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties.

Salary Range: $78,011 - $96,363 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

 

Qualifications


Education


Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

 

AND

 

Graduate of a program approved by the credentialing body for the required associated license(s).

Preferred: Minimum 1 year MRI or CT experience

 

PACS and RIS experience

Required: ARRT-MR - Radiologic Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT)--

 

For no experience OR ARMRIT - Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist – 

 

For no experience ORCMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure – 

 

For no experience AND ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT) – 

For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR ARRT-N - Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear 

 

Medicine Tech (ARRT) – 

 

For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR ARRT-SON - Radiologic Technologist – 

 

Sonography (ARRT) – 

 

For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical 

 

Sonographer (ARDMS) – 

 

For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience. 

 

RDMS certified as an Ultrasound Technologist OR CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) – 

 

For 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning Experience.

 

BLS certification through American Heart Assoc


Preferred: N/A


Special Skills


Required: Ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition venipuncture


Preferred: N/A


Other 


Required: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.


Preferred: Bi-lingual or multi-lingual
