Responsibilities
We are seeking an MRI Technologist (Seasonal Contract), sometimes referred to as a MRI Tech at Southern Regional Medical Center (Riverdale, GA) a member of Prime Healthcare. The MRI Technologist will operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to capture detailed images of patients' internal organs, tissues, and structures. They play critical role in the diagnostic process by producing high-quality images that help physicians diagnose and treat various medical conditions. This is a seasonal contract normally 12 weeks long, this can be extended by need, performance and Human Resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
prepare patients for their MRI scans by explaining the procedure, addressing any concerns or questions, and ensuring that patients are comfortable, you will also screen patients for contraindications to MRI, such as the presence of metal implants or pacemakersoperate MRI scanners to acquire high-resolution images of the body, position patients correctly on the scanning table and select appropriate imaging parameters to produce clear and accurate imagesadhere to strict safety protocols to protect both patients and you from potential hazards associated with MRI technology, such as strong magnetic fieldsduring the MRI scan, monitor patients' vital signs and adjust imaging parameters as needed to obtain the desired images, you may perform multiple imaging sequences to capture different anatomical views or enhance specific tissue contrastsadminister contrast agents intravenously to enhance the visibility of certain tissues or abnormalities during the scan, monitor patients for any adverse reactions to the contrast agent and provide appropriate care if neededperform routine quality assurance checks on MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING Must have at least 3 years of experience working as an MRI TechARMRIT or ARRT(MR) requiredCurrent BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and remain currentMust be a graduate of a ARRT approved Radiologic Technology Program or MRI courseProficient computer skills#LI-JJ3 Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareEmail this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
