MRO/Maintenance Buyer - Leeds, AL Apply now » Date: Feb 5, 2025 Location: Leeds, AL, US, 35094 Company: Hubbell Incorporated Job Overview Our Connectors Business Unit in Leeds, AL is looking for a Maintenance/MRO Buyer who will purchase materials, equipment, supplies and services of a specialized or complex nature in accordance with prescribed purchasing regulations and procedures. Will also review and analyze purchase requisitions, investigate and develop sources of supplies, prepare bid specifications, issue bid requests and review quotations. This position requires the use of initiative and independent judgment. A Day In The Life + Spend Management: Manage indirect spend, (MRO goods, plant services, etc.) for the Leeds, AL (Connectors) site, working with stakeholders in operations and maintenance to identify, procure, and manage goods and services. + Stakeholder Collaboration: Work extensively with stakeholders in Operations and Maintenance to understand their requirements and collaborate with them to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and best practices. + Procurement: Lead procurement activities for indirect goods and services, including the development of sourcing strategies, creation of RFQs, supplier selection, and contract negotiation. + Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality goods and services are delivered at competitive prices. + Cost Savings: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities for the site, including the negotiation of favorable pricing and terms with suppliers, the implementation of spend management processes, and the utilization of supplier consolidation and standardization. + Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance, track and analyze spend data, and report on cost savings and other relevant metrics to stakeholders in Operations and management. + Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations, and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contracts and agreements + Framework: Creation and tracking of Indirect framework PO’s. + Support Indirect Purchase Req creation where appropriate to support MRO needs of the production departments. + Investigate and reconcile PO issues to resolve AP exceptions. + Coordinate routine service calls by outside vendors for building, fleet, and equipment maintenance.
