JOB SUMMARY:

To maintain system integrity of material requirements and replenishments, optimizing inventory levels, production capacity, and material management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Following MDIs and Standard Work Instructions, performs a variety of analytical duties to determine material requirements and approve demand/supply for raw material, purchased and manufactured materials.Operates to MRP policies and inputs from higher grade PCL team member.Releases replenishments and drives requirements through the MRP system.Utilizes bills of materials, master schedules, production schedules, after market forecasts, manufacturing planning, engineering information, and departmental guidelines to confirm adequate material quantities for assurance of on time supply to the customer.Reviews planning and quality information for adjustment to production orders as required.Analyzes shortage information to determine cause and applies immediate action for shortage resolution.Reviews excess material for possible use. Monitors and proposes disposition of excess inventory in support of business objectives.Acts as key contact for analysis of new orders, change orders, and net change analysis.Participates in capacity analysis reviews cross functionally to optimize work queues and level loading.Coordinate frequently with PCL, Tooling, Supply Chain, Operations, Master Scheduling, Engineering, Manufacturing Planning, and After Market to obtain and provide information. May require activities in support of shop floor control.May participate in area team walks and continuous improvement activities as required.Utilizes input from higher grade MRP analyst in performance of all duties.

EDUCATION:

Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.CPM or CPIM Preferred

EXPERIENCE:

Over 3 years’ experience in production scheduling, material requirements planning, or related experience.Requires strong oral and written communication skillsRequires working knowledge of Microsoft Office
