Job Description:
The position of MRP Implementation Specialist – Manufacturing Engineering, reporting to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, provides MRP support to the Operations team(s) for accurate demand to forecast, procure, manufacture and assemble existing and future products.
Essential Functions:
Support Manufacturing operations to maintain highest level of productivity and quality possible by maintaining accurate MBOM in MRP system.Evaluate and develop methods to control and audit MBOM data in an accurate and timely manner.Plan, develop and facilitate the implementation of processes and procedures required to establish a baseline for MRP standards and for managing changes driven from Engineering and Programs. Continuously analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas where the MRP system can be optimized to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline operations.Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Procurement, Production, Contracts, Planning, Program Management, and Engineering to ensure the MRP system aligns with all aspects of the business.Generate reports from the MRP system to help management make informed decisions regarding production planning and inventory management.Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the MRP system that could affect production or supply chain efficiency.Manage projects related to MRP system upgrades, enhancements, or new module implementations.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain management, or a related field or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.Experience with manufacturing processes and procedures required to assemble cables/harnesses, magnetics, electro/mechanical sub-assemblies, assemblies, and systems.Proficiency in MRP and ERP systems, with experience in system implementation and optimizationFamiliarity with product lifecycle management applications, such as Agile, and their integration with MRP systemsExperience in a manufacturing engineering environment with direct involvement in MRP system implementation and support.Analytical skills to generate reports and insights from the MRP system for decision making.Has excellent oral and written communication skills.Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with change management processes and the ability to adapt and manage system changes effectively.Strong project management and organizational skills.Programming and data analytics skills (C++, VBA, Python, PowerBI, SQL, etc.)Certification in MRP/ERP systems, such as SAP, Costpoint, or Oracle EBSMicrosoft Office Suite FamiliarityExperience in Root Cause Analysis and Problem SolvingIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California $82,500 - $153,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
