The Global WindDown (GWD) Technology team within Finance Technology consists of extremely talented engineers, working with the Global Liquidity Management group to improve forecasting processes through technology, delivering a set of capabilities that will drive greater consistency, automation, transparency, efficiency and control. We are looking for a talented and highly motivated software engineer with technology experience and knowledge in database technologies, to help further develop our forecasting & analytics platform. Enterprise Finance Technology’s GWD Technology team is working on and implementing innovative solutions to improve forecasting processes and support operational excellence. This role will be responsible for working closely with the technical leads and Product Owners to deliver & support data, analytics and reporting functionalities in the GWD platform. This right candidate will be responsible for hands-on application development to support the current and target process across the SDLC – design, build, test, deploy & support. **Job Description:** This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns. **Responsibilities:** + Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements + Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained + Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack + Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle + Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas + Automates manual release activities + Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance) **Required Qualifications:** + Significant experience in Microsoft SQL programming and development is a must including SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Oracle, CUBE (Star Schema). + Must have hands-on experiences in migrating from standard relational database to non-relational databases leveraging Big Data stack and alternate mechanisms like HDFS, Spark, Neo4j, Snowflake, Airflow, MongDB, etc. + Assess and analyze existing database architecture to identify opportunities for modernization. + Proficiency in database design, optimization, and performance tuning. + Significant experience in data normalization, denormalization, compression techniques to optimize data-size and performance. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align database solutions accordingly. + Ensure data integrity, security, and performance in the modernized database environment. + Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during the implementation of database changes. + Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in both traditional databases and big data. + Experience in Financial data such Trade data, Reference data , etc. to build functional calculation modules, reports and dashboards + Experience in functional knowledge of GRRP (Global Recovery and Resolution Planning) regulatory needs in terms of data, calculations& Reporting **Skills:** + Application Development + Automation + Influence + Solution Design + Technical Strategy Development + Architecture + Business Acumen + DevOps Practices + Result Orientation + Solution Delivery Process + Analytical Thinking + Collaboration + Data Management + Risk Management + Test Engineering **Shift:** 1st shift (United States of America) **Hours Per Week:** 40 Bank of America and its affiliates consider for employment and hire qualified candidates without regard to race, religious creed, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, protected veteran or disability status or any factor prohibited by law, and as such affirms in policy and practice to support and promote the concept of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action, in accordance with all applicable federal, state, provincial and municipal laws.
