MSAT Team Leader – Respiratory (Manufacturing Science and Technology)
Site Name: UK - Hertfordshire - Ware Posted Date: Dec 20 2024 This role sits within the GSK Ware Site’s MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology) function (within Global Supply Chain - GSC) and reports directly into the Site’s MSAT Director. Job purpose: The role provides management-expertise for a technical team of Lead Technologists/Technologists for Product Lifecycle Management activities and complex changes to existing products and processes (to meet business demands). The position provides technical management / leadership across the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) business processes. There are circa 8 – 10 people in team (which may include interim/contract workers and third-party staff). Key Responsibilities (include): Developing and managing a high performing team of technologists to successfully execute product related, risk, change and knowledge management responsibilities. Ownership for technical aspects of product quality and providing efficient, effective and compliant technical support to activities within the Product Value Stream. Managing / delivering improvement of product and process capability/robustness. Ensuring technical issues are resolved (urgently) to minimise impact on product performance or projects. Providing technical expertise in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) business processes. Ensuring appropriate systems to track (trend) product performance are in place and applying product performance targets to products post launch. Supplying technical resource for execution of technical aspects of planned changes for launched products through effective risk management processes. Managing rapid resolution of technical issues impacting supply and product performance investigations through use of root cause analysis (RCA) tools and appropriate Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA) and escalate key site technical issues (as appropriate to wider GSC MSAT community). About You: This role is a great opportunity to be instrumental in developing and delivering GSK’s MSAT strategy across the Ware manufacturing site. You will be working at the cutting edge of science and technology delivery within GSK, in a high-profile role with senior stake-holder involvement. As this role is multi-faceted and includes managing a team, as well as liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders (including on-site production/operations teams and senior managers), you must be a motivated person who has strong experience of working in complex technical and/or manufacturing situations. You will be resilient and calm under pressure, with strong people skills and a proven ability to influence people to achieve and drive performance. Basic Qualifications: Relevant degree qualifications (eg; Science, Technical or Engineering degree). People management experience (track record of team delivery and performance) Knowledge/experience of technical standard with proven application and delivery obtained from working in a complex manufacturing processes (eg; validation life cycle for cleaning, product and process).
